Why we built SQEwise
The SQE1 is entirely multiple choice — 180 questions across two papers. The best way to prepare is deliberate practice with high-quality questions and immediate, detailed feedback. Most question banks give you a question and a one-line answer. That's not enough.
SQEwise is built around how legal learning actually works: targeted repetition of weak areas, spaced return to topics you've already seen, and full explanations with the case law and statutory authority you need to understand why the correct answer is correct — not just that it is.

Every question on SQEwise goes through a two-stage review process before it reaches you — checked for legal accuracy, clarity, and that one answer is unambiguously correct. Questions that don't meet the standard are rejected before going live.
Intelligent selection
The Smart Selector uses a 70/20/10 weighting system to prioritise your weakest topics. It tracks which questions you've seen and applies spaced repetition to bring back content at the right intervals.
Built to grow
The question bank starts at 180+ questions across all 13 SQE1 topics and grows with every exam cycle. The platform is designed to be updated as the SQE1 syllabus evolves.
Quality control
Every question reviewed twice before it reaches you
Stage one: quality check
Every question is reviewed for legal accuracy, clarity, and that one answer is unambiguously correct. Questions covering the same legal principle from multiple angles are checked to ensure no confusion between them.
Stage two: verification
A second independent pass verifies the legal authority cited, the plausibility of all four answer options, and whether the question tests a genuinely examinable principle. Questions that don't meet the standard are rejected.
Student flagging
Students can flag any question directly. Flagged questions are removed from circulation immediately pending review — so the bank self-corrects over time as more students use it.
