The qualification
What is SQE1?
The SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination) is the centralised assessment every aspiring solicitor in England and Wales must pass. SQE1 — the first stage — tests legal knowledge through 360 multiple choice questions across two papers: FLK1 and FLK2. Both are set and marked by Kaplan and run twice a year.
